THERMOGOODS XPS boards are rigid extruded polystyrene insulation, 20 to 100 mm thick, made at our plant in Tashkent. On building sites they are often called by the name of one well-known brand.

Where extruded polystyrene is used
Extruded polystyrene takes up almost no water and carries load, so it goes where rolled insulation would not cope: outside foundations and plinths, in floors under screed, beneath underfloor heating and in structures in contact with the ground. The PPSL board with a 10 × 10 cm grid makes laying underfloor heating pipes easier.
Properties from the test reports
Grades PPS 30 and PPS 35. Thermal conductivity 0.029–0.032 W/(m·K), 24-hour water absorption 0.15 %, compressive strength at 10 % deformation 82–83 kPa — UzTEST report No. 28352P of 18.12.2024. Certified to GOST 15588-2014, certificate No. UZ.SMT.01.0103.122312186.

Questions and answers
How is XPS different from expanded polystyrene foam?
Extruded polystyrene is made by pushing a melt through a die, giving an even closed-cell structure that is stronger and takes up almost no water. Ordinary bead foam is made of fused beads and is weaker and less moisture-resistant.
Which thicknesses are available?
From 20 to 100 mm. The 100 mm XPS board is also made with a metallised PET facing for facades and foundations.
Is XPS suitable for foundation insulation?
Yes, it is one of the main uses: boards are fixed over the waterproofing on the outside of the foundation wall and protected before backfilling. Thickness is chosen by calculation.
