Which one to choose
PPI-OT is a plain shell for pipes inside buildings. PPI-OTL with PET facing suits places where it may be knocked. PPI-OTF with foil suits outdoor runs, where the facing shields the foam from the sun. Double-coated red and blue tubes tell hot from cold water at a glance.
Why insulate pipes
An uninsulated heating pipe loses heat along its whole length, and a cold pipe in a warm room collects condensation. A shell with 0.035 W/(m·K) conductivity cuts the losses and keeps the surface dry. The calculator on the home page shows how much a given thickness saves.
Questions and answers
What thickness for heating pipes?
It depends on the pipe diameter, the carrier temperature and whether the run is indoors or outdoors. Send the diameter and conditions and we will match the shell.
Does it withstand hot water?
Yes, the material works up to +90 °C, which covers domestic heating and hot water systems.
