An elastic polyethylene foam mesh sleeve is fitted to each item of produce. The cells stretch around apples, pomegranates, pears, melons and other produce, creating a soft layer between the item and the package. The mesh helps reduce rubbing, scratches and local impacts during sorting, crating, storage and transport. Sleeve diameter, length and colour are selected for the produce and packing method.
